New Unique Plant Milk Hits Selected Foodland Stores
Foodland is increasingly becoming a goldmine for vegan products, with new food items poppin’ up on the regular, and the latest new plant milk on the block is Calm Farm Hemp Milk.
So what makes this hemp milk stand out from the rest? Well first and foremost, it is 100% plant-based and cruelty free. It’s also nut, dairy, gluten, soy, and refined sugar free, and organic with no known allergens. Now that’s exHEMPlary, but it gets even better…
From a nutritional point of view, the milk contains high levels of protein (7g/250ml) and calcium (46%/250ml of daily intake), Omegas 3 (900mg/250ml) and 6 (2800mg/250ml), and all ten essential amino acids. Yep, you can get Omegas in your diet without eating a mushy tin of apocalypse-ready sodium-dense tuna.
Another sneaky benefit of incorporating hemp into your diet regularly, is that it will help control serotonin levels – hence the name Calm Farm. But don’t worry…or do worry…you’re not going to get high from drinking it…whatever floats your goat.
Amy from Calm Farm also bares great news as to the ‘green’ impact this milk possesses – “it is the most sustainable option we have, as all it takes is some land, significantly less water than other alternatives and absolutely no pesticides.” Hemp hemp hooray!
Calm Farm Hemp Milk is made in New South Wales (NSW) using United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) certified organic hemp seeds. The cannabis plants used to make the milk are not yet sourced from NSW, as the demand for organic crop outweighs the available cultivation. However Calm Farm are planning on using Aussie hemp as soon as possible. Cya later carbon miles.
Now, you’re probably wondering where you can buy this magical milk. For now, you can find it in the following Drake’s Foodland stores: Aldinga, Blackwood, Fulham Gardens, Gawler, Golden Grove, Halletcove, Newton, Seaford, Semaphore and Wayville.
Not in a store near you? Calm Farm tells us they are bringing on more stockists all around Australia every day and that they “will be appearing at your local very soon.” So don’t feel exHEMPt.
Amy leaves us with a lovely message – “Whether it’s Calm Farm Hemp Milk or some organic hemp seeds, the health benefits are endless and the global environmental benefits make for a happier healthier future.”
